This is what you will do
As a junior data engineer, you’ll play an important role in supporting the development and optimisation of data solutions. You’ll work with various teams to structure and prepare large volumes of data for analysis and reporting. Together with experienced colleagues, you’ll contribute to impactful projects. What you’ll be doing depends on your specific role and project. Here are some examples of what you might work on:
- Supporting the development of data pipelines: You’ll help build and maintain ETL processes that collect, transform, and load data from various sources into systems for analysis and reporting.
- Contributing to data warehousing: You’ll assist in setting up and managing data warehouses so data is stored efficiently and remains easily accessible for business intelligence.
- Improving database performance: You’ll help analyse and optimise SQL queries and support the management of databases to ensure faster and more efficient processing.
- Automation and scalability: You’ll contribute ideas on how to automate and improve processes, helping ensure data processing scales with organisational growth.
- Collaborating with IT and business teams: You’ll work alongside analysts, engineers and IT specialists to translate business questions into data-driven solutions.
What we ask
- You have (or are close to finishing) a university degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or a similar field.
- You have experience with or a strong interest in infrastructure, including cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure.
- You have knowledge of SQL and a solid understanding of data warehousing and database management.
- You have strong analytical skills and a sharp eye for detail and quality.
- You take a structured, goal-oriented approach and are driven to continuously improve processes.
- You’re able to work independently but also enjoy collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Currently based in the Netherlands and available full-time.
