Junior Business Analist Finance
Are you analytical, eager to learn and interested in working at the intersection of finance, data and IT? As a junior business analyst finance, you combine financial knowledge with change initiatives. You work on projects focused on improving, modernising and future-proofing financial processes within large financial institutions.
This is what you will do
As a junior business analyst finance, you work on change initiatives within banks and insurers, for example at organisations such as Rabobank, ING, a.s.r. or Athora. This is an example role. The exact responsibilities vary per organisation and assignment, but always focus on financial processes, data and change.
You work in environments where finance, risk and IT come together and support teams in analysing and improving processes and systems. Depending on your assignment, you will:
- analyse and improve financial processes and underlying data flows
- gather and structure information from stakeholders within Finance, Risk, IT and Legal
- translate business questions into requirements, user stories or functional design
- contribute to projects related to regulation, transparency and data quality
- support impact analyses for new or changing regulations
- assist with testing, acceptance and implementation within Agile teams
Examples of projects include regulatory change initiatives, improving financial or regulatory reporting, or automating and standardising financial processes.

What we ask
- a completed master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Econometrics, Accounting, Business Economics, Financial Economics or a similar financial study
- 0 to 2 years of relevant experience through internships, thesis projects, working student roles or a first position within finance, data or IT
- affinity with financial processes, regulation and data-driven decision making
- strong analytical skills and a structured way of thinking
- good communication skills and the ability to work with different stakeholders
- affinity with financial services
- experience with SQL, Power BI or similar tools is a plus
- you live in the Netherlands and are available full time
Benefits
As a junior business analyst finance, you start via Solid Professionals in a contract-to-hire setup. This means that during the first period you are employed by Solid Professionals and immediately start working at one client organisation within the financial sector. The intention is that after completing the Impact Programme, you transition into a permanent position with the client. From day one, you are a full member of the team and actively involved in the business.
You can expect:
- a gross monthly salary starting from 3800 euros based on 36 hours, including holiday allowance and a monthly project allowance, depending on the client, aligned with the employment benefits you would receive when directly employed by the client
- at least 22.5 vacation days based on 36 hours
- hybrid working and travel allowance for office days
- guidance from a performance manager who supports you throughout the programme and focuses on your development
