Data Engineer

This is what you will do
As a data engineer, you work on technical data solutions in environments where performance, scalability and stability are key. You design, build and optimise pipelines, support cloud migrations and contribute to modern lakehouse architectures.
Your responsibilities may include:
- designing, building and optimising ETL and ELT pipelines
- working with Azure, Databricks and lakehouse architectures
- developing PySpark process flows for large scale data processing
- optimising SQL and improving database performance
- contributing to cloud migrations and modernisation of data infrastructures
- setting up data models and improving data monitoring
- collaborating with analysts, developers and data scientists on end to end solutions
- advising on technical choices and architectural improvements

What we ask
- a completed university degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Mathematics, Data Science or Artificial Intelligence
- 3 to 7 years of experience as a data engineer or in a similar technical data role
- strong experience with SQL and Python
- experience with PySpark or the motivation to pick this up quickly
- experience with Databricks is a strong plus
- experience with Azure or another cloud environment
- experience within the financial, energy or telecom sector is a plus
- willingness to obtain certifications such as Azure Fundamentals AZ 900, DP 203 or Databricks Data Engineer Associate
- you are based in the Netherlands and available full time
