Yes. You’ll follow a development programme tailored to your experience, learning goals and assignment. You decide how much you want to make use of it - so you can grow at your own pace.
Temporary assignments
Put your Finance, Risk, Data or IT skills to work at ambitious companies in the financial, telecom and energy sectors. Take on challenging projects, keep growing in your field and build your career to the next level.
Variety, impact and security
Secondment and interim work are perfect for people who enjoy variety, challenge and autonomy.
In a secondment role, you work on a project basis for organisations in sectors such as finance, telecom and energy - while being employed by us. Every project is different: new teams, new challenges, new energy. Some assignments last six months, others a year. You work independently but stay connected with us for sparring, knowledge sharing and development through a programme tailored to your experience level.
Secondment is practical and hands-on: you deliver real value, work at the heart of the business and see the impact of your work. And if you truly click with a project or team, there’s often an opportunity to move into a permanent role - even if that wasn’t the plan from the start.
Since the introduction of the DBA Act, there are more opportunities for secondees (employed by us) than for interim professionals (self-employed). As a secondee, you benefit from greater security and development opportunities, while keeping the freedom and variety of project-based work.

Frequently asked questions
Is your question not listed?
What’s the difference between secondment and interim work?
As a secondee, you work on projects at different organisations, but you’re employed by Solid. That means you receive a fixed salary, build up a pension, and get access to coaching and development opportunities through us. Between projects, you remain employed, and we help you plan your next step.
As an interim professional or freelancer, you work independently - arranging your own assignments, administration and insurance. That gives you freedom, but also less stability. Since the introduction of the DBA Act, the rules for interim work have become stricter, making secondment the better choice for those who want variety while keeping security.
How long does an assignment typically last?
An assignment typically lasts between 6 and 9 months. Some projects are shorter - around 3 months - while others run for a longer period. And if it’s a great match, there’s often the opportunity to stay on, even if that wasn’t the plan from the start.
What will my assignment look like?
That depends on your background, experience level and interests. We offer projects in Finance, Risk, Data and IT. Together with your recruiter, we’ll identify your strengths and ambitions - and find an assignment that’s the right fit for you.
Will I receive guidance or training during my assignment?
Which sectors will I work in?
At Solid, you’ll take on projects at organisations in the financial, telecom and energy sectors - including ING, Rabobank, KPN and Eneco.
We also partner with companies outside these industries, as long as the assignment fits your experience and our way of working. That way, every project stays challenging and relevant to your growth.
Will I receive a salary even if I don’t have an assignment yet?
Yes, you’ll receive a salary from the moment you join us - even if you don’t have an assignment yet.
