Traineeship IT
Are you at the start of your career and eager to grow within IT? In the IT Traineeship, you start working directly within IT teams at large organisations in the financial sector, energy or telecom. While gaining hands-on experience, you follow our Impact Programme, which supports your technical and professional development. This traineeship is designed to help you discover where your strengths lie and how you want to grow within IT.
This is what you will do
From day one, you work within an IT department at a large organisation, for example in financial services, energy or telecom. This is an example traineeship. The exact responsibilities vary per organisation and assignment, but always focus on learning, building experience and contributing within a professional IT environment.
Depending on your background and interests, you may start in roles such as:
- software developer
- business analyst IT
- data engineer
- DevOps engineer
- process automation or BPM specialist
In your day-to-day work, you contribute to building and improving applications, automating processes and supporting digital solutions. You may work with programming languages such as Java, C#, Python or SQL, and learn how systems interact within complex IT landscapes.
In some roles, the focus is more technical, such as development or cloud platforms. In others, you focus on analysing business needs and translating them into IT solutions. You work in Agile teams and collaborate with developers, analysts and product owners.
Together, we determine which specific environment and role best match your background and development.
What we ask
- a completed or nearly completed hbo or university degree, for example in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business IT or a similar field
- depending on your role, at least basic knowledge of programming or scripting, such as Python, Java, JavaScript, C# or SQL
- interest in IT, technology and digital innovation
- a proactive and eager-to-learn mindset
- you live in the Netherlands and are available full time
Benefits
As an IT trainee, you start via Solid Professionals in a contract-to-hire setup. This means that during the first period you are employed by Solid Professionals and immediately start working at one client organisation within the financial sector, energy or telecom. At the same time, you follow our Impact Programme, focused on your professional and personal development.
The intention is that after completing the Impact Programme, you transition into a permanent position with the client. From day one, you are a full member of the team and actively involved in the business.
You can expect:
- a gross monthly salary starting from 3800 euros based on 36 hours, including holiday allowance and a monthly project allowance, depending on the client, aligned with the employment benefits you would receive when directly employed by the client
- at least 22.5 vacation days based on 36 hours
- hybrid working and travel allowance for office days
- guidance from a performance manager who supports you throughout the programme and focuses on your development
