Just graduated and ready to launch your career in IT? 💻 Our traineeship helps you discover where your strengths lie - whether that's in development, data or cloud. What you’ll do
From day one, you’ll be part of the IT department at a bank, pension fund or insurance company – while following our traineeship programme. Depending on your background, ambitions and interests, you’ll start in one of these roles:
Your day-to-day work could include building and improving applications, automating processes, analysing data and contributing to smart IT solutions. You'll work with tools like Java, .NET, C# or SQL to build secure and scalable web applications. You’ll also learn how to manage cloud-based systems using platforms like Azure and Infrastructure as Code.
Some roles focus more on data: you’ll analyse datasets using SQL or Power BI, create reports, and turn insights into practical improvements. Other roles are more about translating business needs into technical solutions or writing functional specifications.
You’ll be testing new solutions, documenting processes, and collaborating with different teams. Whether you're an engineer or an analyst – each role is different, but you’ll always be contributing to digital innovation in the financial sector.
This is you
- You have (or are about to earn) a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computational Science or a similar field (HBO or WO level).
- You have basic knowledge of programming languages like Python, Java(Script), and/or C/C#/C++.
- You’re eager to learn and motivated to grow.
- Currently based in the Netherlands and available full-time.

The traineeship
Our two-year traineeship puts you straight into the field as a junior IT professional at companies like ABN AMRO, ING or a.s.r. While gaining hands-on experience, you’ll follow a comprehensive training programme to build your technical and personal skills. It’s a smooth transition from studying to working, with a strong focus on your growth and building a valuable network.
You’ll also get personal guidance from your talent manager, who supports you with your development, work-life balance and career path.
