Traineeship DevOps Engineer
Are you a tech-savvy problem solver? Do you want to help shape the future of IT and keep software development running smoothly? Then this could be your ideal role. Develop yourself as a DevOps engineer and work on the IT infrastructure of companies like ING, Rabobank and a.s.r. 💻
This is what you will do
As a DevOps engineer, you'll work in a dynamic environment where development and operations come together. You'll help develop, implement, and optimise IT systems and processes - with a strong focus on automation, stability and security. During the traineeship, you’ll collaborate with experienced engineers and learn how to set up CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Deployment) pipelines, manage cloud infrastructures, and accelerate software development. What you’ll be doing depends on your role and the organisation you’ll be working for – here are some examples of what you might work on:
✅ Automating deployment processes: You’ll make sure software moves from the test environment to the live environment automatically, without any manual steps. You’ll do this by setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, allowing new updates to be rolled out quickly and reliably.
✅ Managing and optimising infrastructure: You’ll use tools like Docker to containerise applications and Kubernetes to automatically manage and scale them - ensuring systems stay stable and responsive.
✅ Monitoring and troubleshooting: You’ll monitor systems and quickly solve issues, so applications run smoothly and users experience minimal disruption.
✅ Working in a cloud environment: You’ll use cloud platforms like Azure, AWS or Google Cloud to manage applications and data without relying on physical servers. You'll also implement infrastructure as code for increased efficiency and flexibility.
