Junior Finance & Risk Expert

Do you (almost) have a Master’s degree in a financial or quantitative field? And are you great at translating data into clear insights? As a finance & risk expert, you’ll work at the intersection of finance, risk and data. You’ll analyse processes, improve reports and contribute to smarter ways of managing risks and results. 💼 Not model building or validation, but structure, overview and real-world impact – all while developing yourself professionally and personally.

This is what you'll do

As a junior finance & risk expert, you’ll work in an environment where finance, risk and data come together. You might support risk analysis, review financial processes or assess the impact of new laws and regulations. You’ll contribute to dashboards and reporting tools that help banks and insurers steer more effectively on risks, performance and change.

Depending on your specific role, you’ll either focus more on quantitative analysis or on improving reporting processes. Here’s a look at what you might be doing:

  • Preparing and analysing risk, P&L and fair value reports.
  • Improving reports and processes within Finance and Risk.
  • Helping developing dashboards and tools using Power BI, Alteryx or similar software.
  • Conducting impact analyses for changes in regulations or processes.
  •  Advising teams based on insights you uncover in data and analysis.

This is you

  • A (nearly) completed Master’s degree in Econometrics, Mathematics, Finance, (Business) Economics or a similar field. Finance knowledge is a big plus.
  • You think analytically and work in a structured way.
  • You enjoy working with data and can clearly translate insights to different stakeholders.
  • You’re interested in financial products, risk management and regulatory reporting.
  • Experience with or interest in tools like Power BI, Alteryx, SQL or Excel.
  • You live in the Netherlands and are available full time.
