Traineeship Finance
Do you want to start your career in finance and learn how financial processes, data and decision making come together within large organisations? In the Finance Traineeship, you immediately start working within finance teams at organisations in the financial sector, energy or telecom. At the same time, you follow our Impact Programme, supporting both your professional and personal development.
This traineeship is designed for graduates who want to grow into roles such as accounting, controlling, reporting or finance analysis, within complex and professional environments.
This is what you will do
From day one, you work within a finance department at a large organisation, such as a bank, insurer, energy company or telecom provider. This is an example traineeship. The exact responsibilities vary per organisation and assignment, but always match your development stage and interests within finance.
Depending on your role and assignment, you will:
- support financial analyses and reporting
- assist with month-end and quarter-end closings
- analyse and explain financial figures and variances
- contribute to improving and standardising financial processes
- work with data from multiple systems and reporting tools
- collaborate with colleagues from finance, risk and IT
You may start in roles such as:
- junior financial controller
- accounting specialist
- reporting or performance analyst
- business analyst finance

What we ask
- a completed or nearly completed master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a similar field
- a structured and analytical way of working
- interest in financial processes, data and reporting
- strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- you live in the Netherlands and are available full time
Benefits
As a finance trainee, you start via Solid Professionals in a contract-to-hire setup. This means that during the first period you are employed by Solid Professionals and immediately start working at one client organisation within the financial sector, energy or telecom. At the same time, you follow our Impact Programme, focused on your professional and personal development.
The intention is that after completing the Impact Programme, you transition into a permanent position with the client. From day one, you are a full member of the team and actively involved in the business.
You can expect:
- a gross monthly salary starting from 3800 euros based on 36 hours, including holiday allowance and a monthly project allowance, depending on the client, aligned with the employment benefits you would receive when directly employed by the client
- at least 22.5 vacation days based on 36 hours
- hybrid working and travel allowance for office days
- guidance from a performance manager who supports you throughout the programme and focuses on your development
