This is what you will do

As an accounting specialist, you’ll start working directly at one of our clients - such as ING, Tikkie or de Volksbank - while following our traineeship. You’ll be responsible for the correct, complete and timely recording of financial transactions across all entities. You’ll also ensure that the figures are passed on to the Reporting department each month, for use in consolidation, financial reporting and regulatory filings.

Prepare, analyse and review financial reports: You’ll work on monthly, quarterly and year-end figures, and check general ledger accounts for accuracy, completeness and plausibility. You’ll flag anomalies and ensure that the correct adjustments are made.

Support audits and compliance tasks: You’ll assist with periodic audits, deep dives and financial queries. You’ll also help assess how laws and regulations impact financial processes and systems.

Optimise accounting processes: You’ll translate legal and regulatory requirements into operational processes and develop improvement proposals to make financial reporting more efficient.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders: You’ll liaise with teams like Reporting, Controlling, Internal Control/Audit, Business and Risk to ensure the financial records are accurate and submitted on time.

The specifics of your role may vary depending on the company, assignment or department - together we’ll find the right fit for you.
