Junior Business Analyst Finance
Are you passionate about finance and interested in technology? As a junior business analyst, you'll play a key role in improving financial processes. With your financial knowledge and interest in tech, you’ll bridge the gap between business and IT. Together with your team, you’ll come up with smart solutions for today’s challenges – and tomorrow’s. 💡
What you'll be doing
As a business analyst, you’ll start straight away in a permanent team at one of our clients, such as ABN AMRO, NN or Athora, and and take part in our traineeship programme. You’ll be the link between business and IT, speaking the language of both worlds. Using your skills, you’ll translate business needs into clear IT requirements for engineers to work with. You'll analyse and understand business processes and turn them into clever, practical solutions. What you’ll be working on depends on your specific role and project. Here are some examples:
- Compliance with new regulations: You’ll respond to legislation from institutions like the ECB and DNB. When new rules are introduced, you make sure IT systems and applications stay compliant by translating complex regulations into user stories and working with DevOps teams to implement them successfully.
- Optimising regulatory reporting: You’ll link relevant data attributes to regulatory reports within a new data warehouse environment. This boosts transparency and makes processes more efficient and future ready. You’ll also help automate reports and streamline financial processes.
- Working with internal and external stakeholders: You’ll be the connecting force between IT, Legal and external partners to make business processes smarter and more efficient. Your strong stakeholder management skills come in handy here. Most of your work will be in an agile-scrum environment, allowing you to adapt quickly to change and new challenges.
Your skills
- You have (or are close to finishing) a degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or another relevant field (HBO or WO).
- You have an affinity with financial processes and systems (experience is a plus).
- You have strong analytical skills and enjoy solving complex problems.
- You’re a confident communicator and easily connect with different stakeholders.
- You’re available full-time and live in the Netherlands.
