Junior Business Analyst Data / IT

This is what you'll do
As a junior business analyst, you’ll help analyse and improve business processes. You’ll collaborate with experienced colleagues and stakeholders to understand and solve data and process-related challenges. In doing so, you’ll help organisations make more informed decisions. You’ll start in a dedicated team at one of our clients. What you do exactly depends on your role and the project you're working on. Here are some examples of what you might work on:
- Data analysis and reporting: You’ll gather and analyse datasets using tools like Excel, SQL and Power BI. You’ll contribute to reports and visualisations that help improve operational efficiency.
- Supporting business requirements: You’ll help map out business needs and translate them into functional specifications for IT teams.
- Testing and documentation: You’ll test new data and process solutions and support documentation, ensuring processes are clearly recorded and continuously improved.
- Communication and collaboration: You’ll support meetings with teams in Finance, IT and Risk. You’ll help gather and process input to ensure well-aligned solutions are developed.
This is you
- You have (or are close to finishing) a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field, such as an IT Bachelor with a Data-focused Master in Information Science, Business Analytics, Data Science, Economics, Finance or Business Administration.
- You have an interest in data analysis, process optimisation and IT.
- You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- You’re a team player and can communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- You’re eager to learn and curious about new technologies and methodologies.
- Experience with Power BI, SQL and/or Python is a big plus.
- Currently based in the Netherlands and available full-time.

The traineeship
Our two-year traineeship offers you a direct start in the field as a junior BPM engineer, working at companies like ABN AMRO, NN or Athora. You’ll combine hands-on experience with a structured training programme to develop both hard and soft skills. Our traineeship guides you through the transition from studying to working, with a strong focus on your personal development and building a valuable professional network.
In addition to day-to-day support at your workplace, you’ll also receive personal coaching from your talent manager. Together, you’ll discuss your progress, work-life balance and career goals.
